EKU Graduate defends Doctoral Dissertation at Sam Houston State University
Kevin Steinmetz, an EKU graduate with a bachelor's and master's degree in Criminal Justice from the College of Justice and Safety, recently defended his doctoral dissertation at Sam Houston State University to achieve a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice. During his time there, he has been active and engaged in research, resulting in nine peer reviewed journal articles published along with numerous projects in progress. Notedly, Dr. Steinmetz's first major journal publication came from his EKU Master's thesis published with Dr. Ken Tunnell in the journal, Deviant Behavior. Kevin has also helped start the Journal of Qualitative Criminal Justice and Criminology, currently serves as its book review editor. Recently he accepted a tenure-track assistant professor position at Kansas State University in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work -- a doctoral degree granting program. Our warmest congratulations to Kevin.
