Bio
Dr. Gary Potter has authored ten books, including The Mythology of Crime and Criminal Justice, Drugs in Society, Criminal Organizations, Organized Crime, Controversies in White Collar Crime, Constructing Crime, and Wicked Newport: Kentucky’s Sin City. He has published in several journals, including Deviant Behavior,Journal of Crime and Popular Culture, Crime, Law and Social Change, the Journal of Contemporary Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice Policy Review, Journal of Criminal Justice, Dialogue and Initiative and Corruption and Reform.
Dr. Potter is currently doing research on transnational organized crime and the media and the social construction of crime. Beyond his academic interests Dr. Potter is best known for his bad habits.
